Emota triumphs with FOUR wins at the 2025 C&IT Awards

Emota shines at the 2025 C&IT Awards, taking home four trophies, including the coveted Grand Prix, for standout work with Shell and AstraZeneca. The wins celebrate the team’s creativity, collaboration and commitment to delivering experiences that connect and inspire across industries.

A night to remember

We’re thrilled to share that Emota scooped four awards at this year’s C&IT Awards, including the coveted Grand Prix for our work on Shell Eco-marathon. Leading the night with seven nominations across six categories, these wins recognise the creativity, collaboration and craft that define our approach to delivering world-class brand experiences.

Global energy in motion

Our partnership with Shell took home three major awards – the Grand Prix, Automotive Event of the Year, and Excellence in Community Engagement and Team Building Initiatives – for the Shell Eco-marathon, a global challenge uniting over 3,000 students from 38 countries to design, build and race energy-efficient vehicles.

Across three continents, the Emota team delivered seamless, safe and unforgettable events that inspired the next generation of energy innovators, with a consistent, on-brand experience wherever in the world they took place.

The Grand Prix win came with high praise from both C&IT and the judges.

C&IT said:

“In a field of strong entries, one project stood out for its global ambition, strategic complexity and forward-thinking vision. Emota’s delivery of the Shell Eco-marathon was more than a category winner; it was a compelling example of the MICE industry’s future potential.”

The judges said:

“An event focused on change; a lovely educational piece and great storytelling made for a really original event, with longevity, seamless experience, and a strong demonstration of creativity.”

Redefining engagement in healthcare

Our collaboration with AstraZeneca at ASCO 2025 was also recognised, winning Pharma & Healthcare Event of the Year. The immersive congress experience redefined how complex oncology science can be shared, blending technology, storytelling and sustainability to engage over 18,000 visitors and set a new benchmark for healthcare exhibition innovation.

C&IT said:

“In a crowded ASCO floor, AstraZeneca presented an object lesson in scale and substance, attracting 18,257 unique visitors — representing 41% of ASCO’s in-person attendees — and converting 87% of walkway traffic into engaged delegates. Working with long-standing partner Emota, the team set out to fuse clinical storytelling with a sustainability-first agenda tied to AstraZeneca’s Net Zero 2030 commitments.”

The judges said:

“The sustainability across the whole event is amazing, and how it was thought out in pre-production, but also how it was brought to life in a story for guests.”
