Discover how this award-winning approach is redefining pharma congress experiences.
We’re proud to share that Emota has won two Stevie® Awards at the American Business Awards®, recognising our work with AstraZeneca at ASCO 2025.
The project was awarded Gold for Sustainable Event and Bronze for Exhibition Experience — celebrating a single, ambitious vision: to redefine what a pharmaceutical congress presence can be through immersive design, measurable sustainability, and commercial impact.
ASCO is the world’s largest oncology congress, bringing together more than 40,000 delegates and setting the benchmark for innovation in pharma exhibitions.
For AstraZeneca, the opportunity was not just to stand out — but to lead differently.
Together, we created a modular, scalable exhibition system designed for reuse across 300+ global congresses, embedding sustainability into every decision — from materials and manufacturing to logistics and storytelling.
This wasn’t sustainability as an add-on. It was sustainability as a visible, engaging, and measurable part of the experience.
The Gold Stevie Award for Sustainable Event reflects a rigorous, data-led approach to reducing environmental impact while enhancing experience design.
Using our Enviroplan methodology, we implemented a circular design system built on reuse, modularity, and material innovation, including:
This delivered significant results:
Importantly, sustainability was made visible through a dedicated engagement zone, using RFID interactions and Apple Vision Pro to bring material choices and lifecycle thinking to life.
Alongside sustainability, the Bronze Stevie Award for Exhibition Experience recognises the strength of the creative execution.
The AstraZeneca booth was designed as a fully immersive, 360° environment, combining architecture, storytelling, and technology to create personalised journeys for attendees.
From dynamic digital content to interactive tools and spatial design, the experience invited oncologists to explore rather than observe — aligning with evolving expectations for engagement at medical congresses.
The results demonstrate how experience, sustainability, and commercial performance can work together:
This project is more than a single event. It’s the foundation of a new model — one that will scale across hundreds of global congresses, delivering consistent brand impact while reducing environmental footprint year on year.
For Emota, these awards recognise what’s possible when creativity, technology, and sustainability are designed to work together from the start.
Because the future of exhibitions isn’t just immersive — it’s intelligent, measurable, and sustainable by design.
