We’re thrilled to announce that Emota has won ‘Best Event by an Agency’ at the 2025 Conference & Event Awards for our work on Shell Eco-marathon.
Spanning three continents, uniting more than 3,000 students from 38 countries, and driven by a shared mission to design and race energy-efficient vehicles, Shell Eco-marathon 2024 was more than an event. It was a global movement celebrating innovation, collaboration and sustainable progress.
The judges described the programme as:

Delivered across Indianapolis (USA), Lombok (Indonesia) and Nogaro (France), Shell Eco-marathon brought together the brightest young engineers to push the boundaries of sustainable mobility. Each site became a fully-fledged student village, complete with technical workshops, accommodation and collaboration spaces, creating a vibrant community focused on reimagining the future of energy.
Behind the scenes, our global Emota team coordinated every detail, from 1,500 safety inductions and 300 shuttle journeys, to 1,200 daily student lunches and 24-hour operational support across all venues. This seamless delivery was made possible through the dedication, creativity and precision of our people.
Sustainability was at the heart of every decision. Across the series, 60% of campsite lighting was solar-powered, 123 materials were reused saving over 300 kg of CO₂, and eco-friendly signage and LED systems reduced environmental impact. Each of these initiatives demonstrated that large-scale events can be both sustainable and spectacular.
Since 2015, our partnership with Shell has continued to evolve, growing from logistics support to full production, logistics and HSSE delivery across all regions. Together, we have built a relationship grounded in innovation, trust and shared ambition.
